About

I’m passionate about making science accessible to all.

I grew up in rural Illinois, surrounded by agriculture. I was curious about science, but didn’t know how to access it in a way I could understand. In journalism school at the University of Illinois, I learned how to effectively communicate science in a way that is inclusive to all audiences.

Now in my work as a public affairs specialist at Berkeley Lab, I help scientists communicate their work in biomanufacturing — using the power of biology to create sustainable products and alternative fuels.
